Step 1
If you don’t have a GTM account, follow the steps to create one. Otherwise, log in and proceed from step 5.
- Start Google Tag Manager.
- Create an account on GTM.

- Enter an Account Name and select the Country for the account.
- Enter the Container name and select the container type.
- To create your container, click Create and agree to the Terms of Service.

- Check the ‘I also accept the Data Processing Terms as required by GDPR’ box.
- Click on Yes to proceed.

- Copy and paste the first part of the container tag immediately after opening the <head> tag of your website.
- Copy and paste the second part of the container tag (iframe) immediately after opening the <body> tag of your website.

Go to your Workspace and select Tags.

Click on the “New” button

Name it “Seers Cookie Consent”, then click on the tag

Click on “Discover more tag types in the Community Template Gallery”

Search “Seers” and then click on “Seers CMP & Cookie Banner”

Select Add to include it in your GTM installation.

- GCM V2 is implemented by default in consent settings—no manual setup is needed.
- Once you click, you’ll be taken to a new screen Tag Configuration with these settings already applied. You just need to add CDN Link and Data Key.

To get the value of both input fields:
- Login to your Seers account and click on "Cookie Consent".

- Select the domain and then click on "Get-code"
- You'll see the following screen with Data Key and CDN Link.
- Copy both from here.

Now enter the copied key and link on the Tag Configuration page as shown in the picture.

Now, to adjust the regional settings, click on Consent Settings By Default.

After adding the list, click Add to save these changes.

Then, choose a Trigger to fire the GTM tag.

Select the option Consent Initialization-All Pages.

Click the Submit button to submit the GTM tag.

Add the version name and description of the tag, then click the Publish button, and your GTM tag will be published.

Now to add Seers Trigger to Non-Google Tags, click on Triggers.

Click on New to create a trigger.

Name that trigger as Seers AI Trigger.

After naming the trigger, click on Trigger Configuration.

On click, a sidebar will open with various options to Choose Trigger Type.

Scroll down the options and Choose Custom Event.

Name the custom event as seers_consent.

After this, click Save to apply all the changes.

Now open the Tags bar and add the Seers Trigger to all non-Google Tags. This includes any custom tags or tags that initially fire without conditions. For Example, select any non-Google tag like Hubspot.

Click on the Edit icon in the triggering section.

Click on the + icon to add a trigger.

A sidebar will appear with all the triggers; select Seers AI Trigger.

Now, click on Advanced Settings.

Then, click on Consent Settings and select Require additional consent for tag to fire.

After this, a new option, Ad Required Consent, will appear. Select that and add GCM State according to the table given below:
