Your end-to-end guide for using Consent Management Platform
When you signin to your Seers account, you will land on the dashboard. The dashboard allows you to choose from a range of products. In order to use the Seers Consent Management Platform, please select ‘Cookie Consent ’ from the list of solutions.
The ‘Consent Management Platform’ has 3 main tabs
- Domain
- Get-code
- Customise
Domain
- Once you click on ‘Cookie Consent ’, you will land on the ‘Domain Manager’.
- In order to run your ‘Cookie Scan’ or begin using the Consent Management Platform, please click on the ‘Add Domain’ button.
- You will have to enter the following information
- Add ‘Domain Name’
- Pick a ‘Scan Frequency’
- Enter ‘Email’
- Once satisfied with the information entered above, please click on the ‘Save’ button.
- Compliant Badge will appear or, in order to get compliant badge read this article.
- Now you can track the scan results with the help of the following features below
- The ‘Scan’ button is used to check the progress of the scan.
- ‘Report’ button is used to see details of the scan for your website.
- In order to make changes to the information added regarding your domain choose
- The ‘Edit Basics’ button is used to edit details related to the domain.
- Alternatively, if you wish to remove a domain you will click on ‘Delete’ button to remove the domain
Get-code
Scripts
- Choose the type of integration whether you want to do it manually or through plugins.
- Alternatively, you can use the GTM to insert the script onto your website
- You can copy the generated ID in the web builders plugins such as WordPress, Joomla, PrestaShop, etc.
- The ‘Script’ given in the ‘Field’ can be copied simply from the ‘Copy Script’ button.
- When doing it manually, you will have to copy the code and paste it into the head of your website above other scripts.
- “Do Not Sell” banner users need to integrate the code into their website’s footer.
- The ‘Domain Group ID’ is given in the text box. It can be used to integrate ‘Seers Consent Management Platform’ with any web platform.
- Installation instructions are provided according to the respective plugins like WordPress, Joomla, PrestaShop, as selected
Customise
You can visit the ‘Customise’ button to make changes to the settings.
1. Reports
- “Scan Report” will provide you a detailed report of cookies according to your domain.
- “Consent Log’’ feature allows you to track the obtained consents, as well as the denied ones over a period of time. This updates automatically once your script is active.
2. Preferences
- You can select the ‘Cookie Banner’ to enable/disable it.
- You can add subdomains within one domain with the button 'Include Subdomains'
- You can use the ‘Cookie Policy & Declaration URL’ button to provide the cookie policy URL for the cookie declaration table.
- The ‘Block Vendor Cookies & Tracking Technologies’ toggle button is used to block the cookies until your visitors accept. When you enable it shows two more options which are 'Auto Block Vendors' and 'Manually Block Vendors'.
- The 'Google Consent Mode V2' toggle button allows you to adjust how your google tags behave based on the consent status of your users.
- “GPC (Global Privacy Control)” when enabled, visitors who are using a browser or extension that is GPC compliant will have their signal automatically applied to their consent settings.
- “Do Not Sell” allows visitors who are using a browser that sends a Do Not Sell Signal will have their signal automatically applied to their consent settings.
- “Do Not Track” when enabled, visitors who are using a browser that sends a Do Not Track signal will have their signal automatically applied to their consent settings.
- 'Facebook Consent Mode' this toggle will allow you to take consent from the users for the Facebook pixel services.
- The 'Child Privacy' toggle button will enable the Child Privacy mode, which will show layers of banners for age-appropriate child consent.
- 'Consent Logs' toggle button will maintain user consent and the information needed.
- ‘Language Auto Regional Detection’ is used to auto-detect the language based on geolocation.
- ‘Select Default Language’ from the drop-down list is used to choose the default language.
- 'Consent Type' choose 'Generalised' for Accept and Reject buttons or 'Specific' for Cookie Categories
- ‘Consent Frequency’ option is used to set the number of days after which Consent expires given by the end-user.
3. Visuals
- You can choose the mode from our built-in modes Light/Dark and Customise.
- Choose the 'Display Style' that is Banner, Modal, or Tooltip.
- Select the ‘Position’ where you want the banner to appear.
- Choose a ‘Layout’ by clicking from a range of options according to your needs.
- Select a ‘Regulation’ or law that applies, GDPR/Do Not Sell.
- Select hide/show the ‘Reject Button’ on the banner.
- 'Show Badge’ toggle button is used to show a badge to enable cookie banner view post consent
- You can also enable/disable the ‘Cookies Details’ and ‘Powered by Seers’
- Choose your banner’s ‘Font’ style and size.
- Select the shape of button that shows on banner with ‘Select Button’
- Select ‘Logo’ to add your company logo or you can use default logo.
4. Banner Content
- Click on ‘"+" icon’ on the left side to add a language
- On right side, you will see toggle turn it left to add GDPR banner content and turn right to add Do Not Sell banner content.
- Then choose option for all of the following fields, you can use default content or adding your own text:
- "I disagree" button title
- "I agree" button title
- "Preferences" button title
- Title
- Body
- Then choose a description for the different types of cookies either by using the default text or add your own description:
- Cookies
- Preference
- Statistics
- Marketing
- Unclassified
- You can also add new category of cookies.
5. Tracking Manager
- In ‘Vendor Manager', you can choose the option from ‘Manually Block Vendors’ or ‘Auto Block Vendors’
- In ‘Cookie Manager’, there are ‘Discovered Cookies’ and ‘Self Declare Cookies’

‘’Discovered Cookies’’ You can see all the discovered cookies by the cookie scan of your website in this discovered cookies section. You can change the category, expiry, and type of cookie and add the cookie description for each cookie discovered.

‘’Self-Declare Cookies’’ you can add any self-declare cookies in this section that are not discovered by the crawler by putting the category, expiry, and type of cookie.
6. Policy
- This section allows you to create a ‘Cookie Policy’ that can be placed on your website.
- To make a policy you need to simply answer the questions.
- Once done, a PDF will be generated that you can then place on your website to exhibit compliance with the relevant laws.
7. By Region
You can turn On/Off the “Regional Detection”. It includes different options
- Opt-in/Opt-out/GDPR,
- Do Not Sell/CPRA,
- Both,
- None
- Prior Consent
Choose:
- Opt-in/Opt-out/GDPR in EU, EEA & UK also turn on prior consent
- Do Not Sell/CPRA, in California or US states.
- Both to show Opt-in/Opt-out/GDPR and Do Not Sell/CPRA banners
- None to the countries/Regions which does not fall under the above regulations.
